I don't know about you, but I love reading Favorite Things Lists. I don't see them often and Oprah used to do hers once a year.
So, I decided I'd like to do one and share some things that I am loving this month. Some are in the shop, some are not. When I find something cool I want to try, and it turns out I like it, I thought maybe you would like to know about it too! Links are included below, so you can go view and purchase if you wish.
1. Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara™ Probably like you, I am constantly on the hunt for mascara that is easy to get off, makes my lashes look bigger, and doesn't easily smear (I don't want to wear waterproof) or flake into my eyes during the day. I tried the ones that came out a few years ago where you shook the lash pieces on and then put on mascara. That was a disaster, especially for girls who wear contacts! This Thrive Causemetics mascara is GREAT. It really EXTENDS your lashes. The extensions are IN the mascara. It literally washes off with soap and water so easy. I love it so much.
2. Kimonos
This is the best discovery of the summer! Kimonos are like cardigans, but more fun, light, and colorful. They started out as bathing suit cover-ups, and can still be that too, but morphed into a stylish accessory by wearing it with shorts, jeans and a tank top, or dresses. They look fabulous and anyone, any age, can wear one, because they are basically one size fits all.
We bought Arrabbiata spices when we were in Italy this past March. When we bought them, they said to use them in pasta (of course, duh). They are a mix of dried spices, herbs, and several kinds of peppers. They are hot. We went easy at first. But we've learned that we like them in all kinds of things we cook! Scrambled eggs, pizza, pasta, baked potatoes, veggie saute, fish, tacos! They add a needed kick instead of tongue-burning heat. If you have people in your house that like hot sauce, you might want to try this!
4. Rae Dunn Table Water Bottles
Rae Dunn has come out with a new line of clear home decor pieces. Don't you love it when you go to a restaurant and they leave you a whole bottle of water? I do. I drink so much water. These are fun gifts and nice to have at home too. Fill it with your cool water from the refrigerator at dinner, and if you don't use it all, close the stopper on top and put it in your frig. Grab and go water for the car, office, or travel!
5. Bumble & Bumble Pre-style/Re-style Primer
Oh...my...gosh, this is the magic product I have been looking for all my life. I've clearly not been in an ULTA for a while, because I'd never heard of primer. It takes away the friz in your hair, is NEVER sticky but super silky soft, leaves your hair shiny and a bit piecey (if you know what I mean) MAGIC!
And there you have it. I hope you'll try some of my favorite things or keep them in your phone for another time!
