The story I like to tell about how we went into this business, is that we would come up with all these business ideas over the years. John is the finance guy, so he would crunch the numbers. "Nope, that's not going to work..." On to the next idea. And so it went until we decided on a gift shop. In 2013, we launched an online store featuring gifts, handmade jewelry and unique handbags. Then, feeling that Cary, NC could use a unique gift shop, we decided to take our knowledge of products and sources from the online marketplace and open a local storefront. So in November 2014, we opened Lauralee Gifts, located in Cary, NC, at Tryon Village. The shop is named for our children, Laura, and Ben (Lee is his middle name).
When we're not working, John and I love going to Koka Booth Amphitheater concerts, downtown Raleigh restaurants and events, and NC State football games. We are regular visitors to Boone, NC, where our kids live near Appalachian State University. We get down to Wrightsville Beach as often as we can, our home away from home!
We are family owned and locally operated so you can be assured you are shopping local! John and I created this business literally from the ground up---a "Mom and Pop" if you will. We designed every part of what you see at our shop in Tryon Village. It was a detailed, long process, through which we learned so much!
We know there are a lot of places where you can shop these days. When you choose to buy from our store, we want you to be delighted with your purchase. We're committed to exemplary customer service, so please feel free to contact us if you ever have a question or concern. We offer refunds or exchanges for all purchases! If you bought it from us, we stand behind it!
